DT Infrastructure is proud to announce the completion of critical upgrades to Tuggerah Station, improving accessibility to all passengers while also enhancing amenities and station operations. A key station along the Sydney to Newcastle Interchange Line on the Central Coast of NSW, these upgrades will ensure equal opportunity for all station users.

The upgrade includes a new boarding assistance zone, new lifts, a new footbridge and concourse, and improved accessible public toilets. There are also 15 new accessible parking spaces in the commuter car park, upgraded bus stops, new footpaths, enhanced lighting, CCTV and pedestrian signage. The team also engaged local Aboriginal Artist Kevin “Uncle Gavi” Duncan to commission some first nations artwork to demonstrate the cultural significance and connection to country.

The $40 million project was awarded to DT Infrastructure in December 2022 as part of the New South Wales Government’s $800 million Safe Accessible Transport program that combines the existing Transport Access Program and Commuter Car Park Program.

The project team were thrilled to participate at an official ceremony on 1 April 2025 where the NSW Premier, Chris Minns, unveiled a commemorative plaque. Also in attendance was the Minister for Transport John Graham, Minister for Disability Kate Washington, senior representatives for Transport for NSW (TfNSW) and community representative groups.

The Premier and Ministers congratulated the team on their achievements and senior leaders from DT Infrastructure expressed their gratitude for delivering a great result.
