DT Infrastructure awarded ITS scope for two major infrastructure projects

DT Infrastructure is proud to announce that it has recently been awarded two contracts to deliver the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) scope for two major road projects: the M1 Pacific Motorway extension to Raymond Terrace and the Coffs Harbour Bypass. Our specialist ITS team will be delivering crucial infrastructure to enhance road safety, traffic management, and real-time communication for motorists.
“I am proud that our ITS team are partnering with our colleagues at Gamuda Australia to deliver these critical upgrades,” said John Anderson, DT Infrastructure’s Chief Executive Officer.
“We continue to cement our position as a top tier specialist in the ITS space.”
On the M1 extension, DT Infrastructure will be responsible for the installation of street lighting and the ITS backbone, as well as the testing and commissioning of key ITS components, including Variable Message Signs, cabinets, emergency phones, CCTV, and traffic signal intersections.
For the Coffs Harbour Bypass, the team will manage ITS communications, electrical, and control systems, along with the installation, testing, and commissioning of vital devices such as Variable Message Signs, tunnel closure systems, CCTV, and variable speed limit signs. The team’s scope also includes the installation of tunnel message signage and the delivery of ITS infrastructure for key structures along the corridor.
This is a fantastic achievement for the ITS team, and we look forward to delivering innovative, technology-driven solutions that will improve traffic efficiency and safety for road users.
The M1 Pacific Motorway extension is being delivered by the John Holland Gamuda Australia joint venture, while the Coffs Harbour Bypass is being delivered by a joint venture between Gamuda Australia and Ferrovial. Both projects are jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Governments and are being delivered by the contract teams on behalf of Transport for NSW.
