DT Infrastructure appoints Jo Stone as Executive General Manager Health, Safety, Environment and Quality
DT Infrastructure (DTI) has appointed Jo Stone as Executive General Manager Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ), further strengthening its executive team as the business continues to grow its national operations and project portfolio.
Jo brings more than 30 years of experience across infrastructure, energy and renewables, with a career spanning operational leadership, asset management, health and safety, environment, sustainability, governance, and organisational transformation.
Most recently, Jo was Director Health, Safety & Wellbeing at VicGrid, where she helped strengthen the governance, systems and organisational foundations supporting the delivery of Victoria’s energy transition.
Importantly, Jo also brings significant operational experience to the role. Prior to VicGrid, she was Director of Operations at Acciona Energia Australia, where she was responsible for a portfolio of more than 600MW of operating assets and significant operating expenditure.
Her remit extended across operations, procurement, land management, safety and critical controls, risk, compliance and data analytics, giving her a practical understanding of how strong HSEQ, governance and assurance systems support operational and commercial performance.
Jo also spent a decade with AGL Energy in a range of senior leadership positions both operational and in health, safety and environment. As Head of Renewables, she was responsible for safe and reliable operations and asset management across a diverse portfolio including 17 hydro stations, nine contracted wind farms, two solar farms and a large-scale battery.
DT Infrastructure CEO John Anderson said Jo’s breadth of experience would bring a unique perspective to DTI’s executive team.
“Jo has spent a significant part of her career leading complex operational businesses, so she understands first-hand the realities our people and projects face every day,” John said.
“She brings deep HSEQ, governance and assurance expertise, but importantly, she also understands operations, asset performance, commercial outcomes and what it takes to lead large teams in high-risk environments.
“That combination will help us continue to strengthen the way HSEQ is integrated into how we plan and deliver our work, supporting safe, sustainable and high-quality outcomes as our business and project portfolio continue to grow.”
Throughout her career, Jo has led significant programs to strengthen safety performance, governance, assurance, organisational capability and culture. She has also advised boards on the implementation of transformational plans designed to move organisations beyond compliance towards stronger operational performance.
Jo said she was looking forward to bringing this experience to DTI and working closely with teams across the business.
“I’ve always believed the strongest HSEQ outcomes are achieved when they are embedded in the way a business operates, rather than viewed as a separate function,” Jo said.
“I’m excited to join DTI at an important point in its growth and to work alongside our people to build on the strong foundations already in place.
“My focus will be on making sure our systems and approach support our teams to make good decisions, manage risk effectively and ultimately deliver safe, sustainable and high-quality projects for our clients and communities.”
Jo commences with DTI on 24 August 2026 and will be based in Melbourne.
